Having only recently appointed an Area Master Franchisee in the North Island, we now have opportunities and are seeking expressions of interest from individuals wishing to learn more about this exciting and lucritive industry. Every day challenges
Each day is different in the Shade & Weather Protection Industry - we deal in three quite different markets - residential, commercial and education, giving our Franchisees a variety of challenges and projects to work on. Franchisees benefit from learning a real skill and are given extensive training in:

• Product technical knowledge
• Measuring-up and quotation development
• How to prepare indicative drawings and specifications
• Managing local suppliers to manufacture parts
• Legal requirements, obtaining Local Authority consent
• Product design and installation
• Marketing and customer service

Ongoing technical support
Watermelon Shade is constantly sourcing new and exciting products to complement our range, making sure we always have our customers needs covered! We therefore provide ongoing training in new products and support when you need it.

Ongoing marketing support
We understand the power of effective marketing and provide you with ongoing support to help get the leads to generate new business. We provide a marketing mix of strategies to build the Watermelon Shade brand. Our marketing mix includes:

Applicants should ideally have sound marketing and sales skills and a flair for design, as applications will vary from site to site. Some knowledge of the building/construction industry is preferable, though not critical.
